Desert Diva...haha

So this weekend it was off to the desert! Now im thinking its just going to be us and our motorhomes and nothing but dirt! Boy was I wrong! THis is like a big deal! There were people everywhere! It reminds me of how we go to the lake and all the boats are in one cove...this is the same thing but its motor homes and dirt bikes haha so I spent my weekend being one of the boys out in the desert! I have to say it was pretty fun and id def do it again!! Everyone kept talking about the girly fashion major out in the dirt haha my uncle told me he could tell that I knew how to ride...my response...I may be girly but I was born in the country =)

Today my aunt and I went down to Venice beach and participated in the TOMS shoes one day without shoes charity walk! It was so amazing because you dont think about children and adults even not putting on shoes everyday!

Okay! so we have lots to catch up on...like two weeks of stuff! Lets start with this Sunday and work backward!

Sunday: Hippity Hoppity Happy Easter

So this Easter was unlike any other than I have experienced...and I LOVED it. There where 22 of us at my Aunt and Uncles house...yes 22! We had an egg hunt, pinata, a big bbq, and swimming! What a big day! We started by going to church this morning and in true So Cal form we had church outside...in a football stadium to accommodate all the people! It was kind of cool! The last few days I have been helping get ready for this big event haha I have stuffed Easter eggs, colored names on buckets...and chopped fruits and veggies haha the things I dislike the most but I totally chopped them with a ginormous knife food network style!

Saturday: Real Cali Girl
Saturday I got to go surfing! It was so fun and Im actually not that bad! I think I need to own my own surf board soon..a pink one of course. I had the best time though!

Saturday night we went down to City walk in Hollywood

Clippers basketball game! We had an amazing sweet with tv's, couches, all kinds of foodSix Flags Magic Mountain!

Yea..I rode those rides...no big deal!

There was this one ride called X2...wow so I think I may have had a small heart attack while on this ride! I think I screamed maybe the entire time haha I have pictures from that rollercoaster, like the ones they take of you as your falling..ha they are good...too bad though I wont put them on here but my good friends will see them! haha

The title of my blog for this weekend is what my fortune read on Friday! I got this in a fortune cookie that came with my sandwich from this little shop in downtown...hopefully this fortune is correct especially since I have always said I wanted to be someone...and someone that people where proud of...I want to make something of myself...so it was kind of cool that that was my fortune! SO lets start with Thursday!

Thursday:

Nothing much happened on Thursday except for the fact that I got lost while going for what I thought would be a simple walk...I know that your thinking...nothing is simple when Im around so off I go down the street with just my ipod and I start running...once again I know what your thnking...kelsey..run...rriighht but no fear this lasted less than a block then I was so over it so I thought I would find the trail for the nice bid hill that my aunts house backs up to. Supposedly there was a really good trail that went along the top that had a great view but was still a good work out...the trail I found I climbed over the fence to get to...this was mistake number one, holy macaroni the hill was like a 90 degree angle! So I get to the top of this one and realize I have like eight more to go haha A few things are crossing my mind at this point...A. I should turn around B. snakes...ew and C. There is NOBODY up here besides me haha so as I continue on one of my favorite songs comes on...you know the really good oldies that just make you want to dance..like proud mary or rock and roll heart or the occasional lil wayne or bone thugs haha so since Im all alone...I bust out a few moves...no big... WRONG just over he next hill is a nice family with a dog that Im sure not only saw my cool dance moves but heard my loud singing...oh well so long story short eight very large hills later I end up a long way from home...i had to crawl through a fence and then ask a lady on the street how to get back to my street after her asking me if I lived on her street...she was def giving me the eye haha but a few hours later I made it home...smelling like a big ball of outdoors! So that was my thursday...nothing to exciting!

Friday:

Friday was a normal day at work but I got off early because of the Project Runway Fashion show in Hollywood! So I got all glammed up...which I had pictures of before I pulled a really cool accidental move and deleted ALL my pictures off my camera...very unhappy about this but I did get good pictures of the show and the entertainment before hand! There was a red carpet and lots of famous faces! So cool! I also saw from previous project runway shows Jeffrey, Jesus, Gordona, Anthony, Mila, and the list goes on and on! We got to sit in VIP in the 2nd row which was AMAZING! so here are a few of the pics/videos of the show!

La Bella Vita

Today was another perfect 85 degree weather day...love it! Today I went to work at 10:00 and it started off a very busy day! When I arrived I was informed that not only would I be getting to go to the Project Runway Fashion Show on Friday for sure (EEKKK) but that today we would be headed to the L.A. Textiles show! Sooo cool! The textiles show is just entire floors of basically trims, fabrics, buttons...a.k.a heaven for people like me haha Once we got there I did the smart business thing for my career and picked up as many business cards and got contacts so that I could be looking for my big girl job while having fun! We just happened to stumble into a showroom where Jeffrey from project runway was and I'm pretty positive I saw Lauren Conrad from the Hills also!! We spent a few hours wondering in and out of all the booths and displays and making contacts and then went back to the showroom for some afternoon appointments. We pulled some stuff for a few stylists and Jermel who is going to take some of our stuff to a fashion show in Europe. I got to leave before rush hour traffic so that was nice! Its so amazing to drive with my windows down and the sun shining ( and bleaching out my hair Ive noticed haha)...the weather is so great! When I got home I decided I would make my family dinner! We had lemon and pepper tilapia with mashed potato's, green beans, and garlic bread! I also filled out my March Madness sheet! I hope I picked good teams! I am an avid football watcher but not so much basketball so I picked the teams I recognized the names of haha so we will see how that goes! I think thats all for today! I am so thankful for my blessings and what I am getting to learn and experience...God is Good =)

Sunny California

When I woke up this morning it was already 75 degrees and beautiful outside...such a change from Arkansas! Its like the perfect weather here...it got to be 80 with a slight breeze and not one cloud in the sky! Today we went to see a fast pitch softball game at Loyola and they played against Harvard. The pitcher was a student of my cousin so we went to watch! Watching them play made me really miss playing sports...especially being on a summer fast pitch team! I played highshcool softball and volleyball but the summer sports where always the most fun! After we got back from that we went to my other cousins birthday dinner. Things are so different here because Im used to small family outings for stuff like this...not tonight...party of 13 haha Im so blessed to be able to be out here and get to come to family stuff like that! I have always loved the "family" atmosphere, even if it wasn't my family I was with...I just think its so much fun so this was really great for me! I had on my Whoooo Pig Soooie t shirt and everyone kept joking that I fit in because we went to a BBQ restaurant and there where pigs all around haha They also like to joke with me because I was also the only "adult" at the table coloring like the little ones! I really like to color though so who cares! =) All in all it was a fun day and it makes me very aware of how blessed I am to have such a big and great family! Tomorrow its back to work so I am sure I will have something fun to post! and this weekend is the fashion show and VEGAS!!



Im really missing this little booger bear tonight...he is my favorite thing. He is so full of personality! I really miss our morning dance off...yes we dance and I know you think Im crazy but if I start to dance he starts kicking his feet back and jumping around in circles so we dance every morning! Love him

Ok so I know this is kind of hard to see but its a food car haha this made my day! My bestie Callie is an Elementry Ed major and this is what they do...make food cars! haha Love it!
